About where to teach art classes in Minneapolis

Where to teach art classes in Minneapolis?
I'm looking for an internship where I could teach art classes to youth in the Minneapolis area. I'd love to work with a non-profit or elementary school, but am having troubles finding a place. Do you know of any organizations that have art classes for youth? thanks!

Try the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the park districts, Walker Art Center, etc.

About What neighborhood in Minneapolis has these characteristics

What neighborhood in Minneapolis has these characteristics?
I'm looking for a neighborhood in Minneapolis with big craftsmen style homes with rich wood work, nice lot sizes, mature trees, parks, and great schools. Is there such a neighborhood in the Twin Cities metro area? Thank you!

I don't understand.

South Minneapolis would be a good place to start - both the Southwest and Longfellow areas. I think the homes/yards may be bigger in the Southwest neighborhoods - Linden Hills, Tangletown, Uptown area - I think along Minnehaha Parkway too. That area - Southwest Minneapolis - is definitely more "affluent". It sounds like that's where you'd want to be. You may, however, have an easier time finding properties for sale in the Longfellow neighborhood, but not nearly as affluent - again, along Minnehaha Parkway in Longfellow would be some of the bigger Craftsmen style homes. And, there are fewer of them (I think) over in Longfellow. Along with the "affluence" comes schools with more resources, more established/safer neighborhoods, etc: Southwest Minneapolis. I found this website that seems to not quite be working, but whoever runs it could probably give you some more info about what's available: http://www.housesofminneapolis.com/craftsman.

About Theodor Geisel: Where's the highest concentration of his original (non-ad) work open to the public year round

Theodor Geisel: Where's the highest concentration of his original (non-ad) work open to the public year round?
I'm trying to view Theodor Geisel's (Dr. Seuss) original art work (not his ad or war work). Where is there a good concentration of galleries that carry Dr. Seuss work? I stumbled on one in either Minneapolis or Seattle. It's been so long now I can't remember. I've seen the outdoor sculpture in Pennsylvania on line but that's not his work. I'd like to go where I can see in person a good quantity of his childrens' book art and secret works. If there's a museum showing it that would be ideal.

About Wondering how difficult it would be to move from Portland to Minneapolis in mid Dec

Wondering how difficult it would be to move from Portland to Minneapolis in mid Dec?
I am planning on moving for work to Minneapolis, Minnesota from Portland, OR , most likely driving a U-Haul Ford Van.. I am comfortable to driving in the snow/ice growing up in the high sierra nevadas but the Van is not 4WD but I have a personal set of chains that would fit just in case..I heard North Dakota can be hazardous and induces insanity with the straights...and since I am planning on taking the trip straight across the Northern US through Montana and the Dakotas I am wondering if it might be better to take an alternate route? if anyone has done this or has any advice it would be greatly appreciated..

Very very cold. My best suggestion for you is to plan ahead and check the weather if you really must move in mid December.

You could try calling the store managers, I'm sure there are only a handful in Mpls.
