What neighborhood in Minneapolis has these characteristics?
I'm looking for a neighborhood in Minneapolis with big craftsmen style homes with rich wood work, nice lot sizes, mature trees, parks, and great schools. Is there such a neighborhood in the Twin Cities metro area? Thank you!

South Minneapolis would be a good place to start - both the Southwest and Longfellow areas. I think the homes/yards may be bigger in the Southwest neighborhoods - Linden Hills, Tangletown, Uptown area - I think along Minnehaha Parkway too. That area - Southwest Minneapolis - is definitely more "affluent". It sounds like that's where you'd want to be. You may, however, have an easier time finding properties for sale in the Longfellow neighborhood, but not nearly as affluent - again, along Minnehaha Parkway in Longfellow would be some of the bigger Craftsmen style homes. And, there are fewer of them (I think) over in Longfellow. Along with the "affluence" comes schools with more resources, more established/safer neighborhoods, etc: Southwest Minneapolis. I found this website that seems to not quite be working, but whoever runs it could probably give you some more info about what's available: http://www.housesofminneapolis.com/craftsman.
